Senior Chief Utilitiesman Johnathan R. Hankey

Senior Chief Utilitiesman Johnathan R. Hankey, a native of Hanford, California, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2003, and after bootcamp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Utilitiesman "A" School. He graduated in 2002 from the University of Arizona -- Global Campus with a bachelor's degree in Business Leadership.

His assignments include Construction Battalion Unit 414; Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, where he forward deployed to Fallujah, Iraq; 31st Seabee Readiness Group, where he taught airfield damage repair, medium girder bridge and camp utilities; quality control lead petty officer, quality control chief, air detachment platoon commander and operations chief at NMCB 5; battalions safety chief and Headquarters operations chief at NMCB 4; and Utilitiesman "A" School director and operations chief at Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) Detachment Sheppard Air Force Base.

He is currently serving as the senior enlisted leader at CSFE Detachment Sheppard Air Force Base.

Hankey's awards and decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), Army Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and other various personal and unit awards.
