Mineman Senior Chief Michael T. Lee

Mineman Senior Chief Michael Lee, a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2007, and after boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Mineman “A” School. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 264.  
 
At sea, he served as operations department armory/force protection/weapons department leading petty officer for Mine Countermeasures Crew Reaper aboard USS Sentry (MCM 3), USS Champion (MCM 4), USS Devastator (MCM 6) and USS Gladiator (MCM 11); plankowner for Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mine Countermeasures Detachment 3; and department leading chief petty officer (DLCPO) for navigation, medical and executive department and maintenance and material management coordinator aboard USS Charleston (LCS 18). He made multiple deployments to the U.S. 5th Fleet and U.S. 7th Fleet areas of operation. 
 
Ashore, he served as a Navy military training instructor at Mine Warfare Training Center (MWTC) where he mentored and lead over 400 new Sailors. He also served as MWTC’s N5 DLCPO.
 
Lee reported to MWTC as senior enlisted leader in August 2023.     
 
Lee is qualified a master training specialist. His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards) and various unit, campaign and service awards.
