Lt. Cmdr. Ryan P. Donohue

Lt. Cmdr. Ryan Donohue, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, graduated in 2007 from Campbellsville University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Justice Administration and earned his commission through Officer Candidate School. He graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2016 with a Master of Arts in Homeland Security and Defense.

At sea, he served as auxiliaries officer and force protection officer aboard USS Lake Champlain (CG 57); damage control assistant aboard USS McClusky (FFG 41); and chief engineer aboard USS O’Kane (DDG 77).

His shore tours include damage control instructor and Junior Officer Surface Material Readiness Course lead instructor at Surface Warfare Schools Command; director of Logistics (N4) for Commander, Destroyer Squadron 1; gas turbine deputy for Engineering Assessments Pacific.

He reported to Mariner Skills Training Center Pacific as executive officer in April 2024.
 
Donohue is qualified a surface warfare officer. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and service awards.
