Commander Gina M. Becker

Upon graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2006 Ensign Gina Becker reported to Naval Aviation Schools Command in Pensacola, Florida for Aviation Preflight Indoctrination. Following medical disqualification, she was reassigned to the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, U.S. Navy Blue Angels, as the Administrative Division Officer and subsequently applied for redesignation as a Human Resource Officer.
 
In 2007, Ensign Becker reported to the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, Maryland as the Command Personnel Officer, and Military Manpower Analyst. Lieutenant Becker then reported to the Naval Postgraduate School in September 2010 for studies in Human Systems Integration. She completed her thesis in competency development and career path management and graduated in September 2012.
Additionally, she completed Joint Professional Military Education Phase I in September 2011.
Upon graduation, she reported to the Center for SEAL and SWCC where she served as the Naval Special Warfare Community Education Officer. She identified the professional education needs of the NSW officer and enlisted communities and pioneered paradigm shifting education programs focused on talent management. In 2013 she earned her certification as a Senior Professional of human resources.
 
Lieutenant Becker reported to Naval Special Warfare Command in June 2015 as the principal advisor to the N1 on strategic planning for Force manpower and personnel. Responsible for the Human Capital Enterprise meetings, she impacted current and future readiness of NSW. In June 2016, Lieutenant Commander Becker shifted into the role of NSW’s Deputy Force Personnel Officer where she identified and solved the unique manning and personnel needs of the Special Warfare community.
 
In July 2017, Lieutenant Commander Becker assumed command of the Honolulu Military Entrance Processing Station where the mission is to evaluate applications by applying established DoD standards during processing for military service. In addition to executing this mission in the state of Hawaii, she was responsible for applicant processing in three U.S. territories, and three sovereign countries.

Lieutenant Commander Becker reported to U.S. Transportation Command in August 2019 as the interim Military Personnel Division Chief. In October 2020, Commander Becker transitioned to the Human Capital Strategy Branch Chief position and focused on talent management of all Headquarter Employees. She completed Joint Professional Military Education Phase II in June 2021. In August 2021 Commander Becker assumed the newly combined Manpower, Strategy, Data Analytics and Military Personnel Super- Division bringing efficiencies to the management and planning of the Command’s human capital.
 
In July 2022, Commander Becker reported to Western Sector, United States Military Processing Command as the Deputy Commander over six Battalions and 31 MEPS responsible for assessing and processing applicants for military service across an area of responsibility from the Mississippi River to Guam. During an unprecedentedly difficult recruiting environment, she identified and aligned resources to best support the mission and needs of recruiting commands.
 
Her personal military awards include two Defense Meritorious Service Medals, three Navy Commendation Medals and two Navy Achievement Medals.
