Captain Jeffrey C. Deviney

Capt. Jeff Deviney graduated in 1995 from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He earned his commission through Officer Candidate School in 1996. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering.

His operational assignments include Alfa Company commander, Detachment Afghanistan officer-in-charge, and training officer, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3; group engineer, Naval Special Warfare Group (NSWG) 1; executive officer, NMCB-3, where he deployed to Iraq and Rota, Spain; and commanding officer, Naval Construction Group 2.

His shore tours include assistant resident officer-in-charge of construction, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina; shops engineer, Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland; instructor, Civil Engineer Corps Officers School; Civil Engineer Corps Officer Community Manager, Navy Bureau of Personnel; public works officer, Naval Air Station Pensacola, where the base received the Commander in Chief's Award for Installation Excellence and the U.S. Secretary of the Navy Energy and Water Management Award in the Navy’s large shore installation category; commander, Presidential Retreat Camp David; and command engineer, Indo-Pacific Command.  

He reported to Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering as commander in May 2024.      
                    
He is qualified in Seabee combat warfare officer, a member of the Society of American Military Engineers and is registered in Oregon as a professional engineer. His personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and other personal, unit and service awards.
