Lieutenant Commander Terrance Green

Lt. Cmdr. Terrance Green, a native of Quincy, Florida, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1997. He was selected to attend the Enlisted Marine Science Education Program and he received a bachelor's degree in Marine Science in 2011 from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was commissioned as a surface warfare-oceanography option officer through Officer Candidate School. He graduated from Naval Postgraduate School with a Master of Science in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography.

His operational assignments include USS Enterprise (CVN 65); electronic warfare officer aboard USS Bataan (LHD 5); anti-terrorism force protection officer, Amphibious Squadron 8; and meteorology and oceanography officer aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).
 
His shore assignments include forecast duty officer, Naval Training Meteorology and Oceanography Facility; command duty officer and ship routing officer, Fleet Weather Center Norfolk; and Space Operation Division’s space requirements and integrations officer, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's Source Directorate.
 
Green reported to Information Warfare Training Command Virginia Beach as executive officer in May 2024.
 
His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and multiple other unit and service awards.
