Senior Chief Aviation Structural Mechanic James L. Domholdt

Senior Chief Aviation Structural Mechanic James L. Domholdt, a native on Cleveland, Ohio, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2000, and after boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Aircraft Structural Mechanic “A” School.

His operational assignments include Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 83; VFA-31; VFA-151; and the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels). He completed deployments aboard USS John F. Kennedy (CV 65); USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69); USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77); and USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).

Ashore, he served with Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 23; Fleet Replacement Squadron 106, Key West Detachment; and Naval Education and Training Security Assistance Field Activity (NETSAFA) International Training Center.

He reported to NETSAFA International Training Center as senior enlisted leader in February 2024.

He is qualified in enlisted aviation warfare and enlisted surface warfare. His personnel awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (four awards), and various campaign and unit awards.
