Lieutenant Commander David A. Raba

Lieutenant Commander David Raba, a native of Los Angeles, California, graduated in 2012 from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in History. 

His assignments include mobility platoon commander at Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 12, where he deployed to Camp Lemonier, Djibouti, and served as the counter-improvised explosive device officer and naval special warfare EOD platoon commander with SEAL Team 2; assistant operations officer at Naval Special Warfare Development Group EOD Squadron; officer in charge at EODMU 3, Detachment China Lake; operations officer at EODMU 6, where he completed a force-aligned deployment to U.S. 5th Fleet under Commander, Task Group 56.1/52.3 and oversaw the first Dynamic Force Employment model for U.S. Southern Command's chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear materials assessment and response team; and operations officer for EOD Group 1. 

He is designated an EOD officer and naval parachutist. His personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign citations.
