Lieutenant Commander David A. Raba

Lieutenant Commander David Raba, a native of Los Angeles, California, graduated in 2012 from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in History. 

His Assignments include mobility platoon commander at Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 12, where he deployed twice in support of Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa. While at EODMU Twelve, he served as the Midshipmen Training Officer for EODGRU TWO, helping to develop future Naval Officers and shaping the future leaders of the EOD community. In December of 2019, he reported to Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake and served as the Officer-in-Charge of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit THREE Detachment China Lake. In 2021, he reported as the Operations Officer of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Six, completing a force-aligned deployment to C5F under CTG 56.1/52.3. His most recent assignment was as the Operations Officer for Explosive Ordnance Group ONE in Coronado, CA.

He is designated an EOD officer and naval parachutist. His personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign citations.
