Captain T. Richie Jenkins

Capt. Richie Jenkins, a native of Sweetwater, Tennessee, graduated in 1999 from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in psychology and earned his commission through Officer Candidate School. He graduated from Piedmont College in 2004 with a Master of Business Administration and from the U.S. Naval War College in 2010 with a master's in strategic studies and national security. He completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and the Advanced Program for Logistics and Technology at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.

At sea, he served as supply officer aboard USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7); aviation support division officer, principal assistant for services and principal assistant for logistics aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76); and supply officer aboard USS Norfolk (SSN 714).

His shore tours include Navy Supply Corps School (NSCS); Submarine Squadron 11/Commander, Submarine Force U.S. Pacific Fleet, Representative West Coast; Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP); Special Operations Command Pacific and NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support; and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Jenkins reported to NSCS as commanding officer in August 2024.

His decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and various unit and service awards.

He is qualified a supply corps officer (aviation/surface/submarines). He is a joint qualified officer and a Defense Acquisition Corps member.
