Captain T. Richie Jenkins

Capt. Richie Jenkins, a native of Sweetwater, Tennessee, graduated in 1999 from the University of Tennessee. He earned his commission through Officer Candidate School and holds master’s degrees in business administration and national security and strategic studies. He completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and the Advanced Program for Logistics and Technology at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
 
His operational assignments includer supply officer aboard USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7); aviation support division officer, principal assistant for services and principal assistant for logistics aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76); and supply officer aboard USS Norfolk (SSN 714).
 
Ashore, he served on the staffs of Submarine Squadron 11/Commander, Submarine Force Pacific Rep. West Coast; Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP); Special Operations Command Pacific; NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

He reported to Navy Supply Corps School as commanding officer in August 2024.
 
His decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, and various unit and service awards.
 
Jenkins is qualified as a naval aviation supply officer, surface warfare supply corps officer and supply corps officer qualified in submarines. He is a joint qualified officer and a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps.
