Command Master Chief (SCW/EXW/SW) Allen Johnson

Command Master Chief Allen Johnson, a native of New York City, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1998, and after graduating boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended seaman apprenticeship training at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, and later, Builder "A" School in Gulfport, Mississippi.

His operational assignments include USS Pensacola (LSD 38), where he deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility; Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, where he deployed to Spain, Diego Garcia, Macedonia, Greece, Okinawa, Japan and the Republic of Palau; NMCB 4 as Charlie Company chief, detachment assistant office in charge, officer in charge/convoy commander, AD5 Company chief, and Detachment 4 senior enlisted leader; NMCB 4 as Charlie Company chief; and NCMB 11 as the command master chief.

His shore assignments include Naval Recruit District as recruiter-in-charge, zone supervisor and the Naval Special Warfare/Naval Special Operation coordinator; 1st Naval Construction Regiment (NCR) as the RSS supervisor and R3C; 30th NCR as the OIC and Camp CZAR; and the 30th NCR. 

Johnson reported to the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering, Port Hueneme, California, as command master chief in September 2024. 

He is a qualified Seabee combat warfare specialist, enlisted expeditionary warfare specialist and surface warfare specialist. His awards include Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Army Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, and various service and campaign awards.
