Commander Kirtley N. Yeiser

Cmdr. Kirtley N. Yeiser, a native of Winchester, Kentucky, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1997, and after graduating bootcamp, he attended Aviation Structural Mechanic Hydraulics "A" School. He graduated in 2019 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering. He earned his commission in 2008 through the Limited Duty Officer Program. 
 
His enlisted assignments included Patrol Squadron (VP) 4, where he deployed in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Allied Force, Noble Anvil and Noble Eagle; Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 1, where he deployed in support of reconnaissance flights under the command of Combined Task Force 70 and 72, and Joint Task Force Southwest Asia; and Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129. 
 
His commissioned officer assignments included USS Enterprise (CVN 65), where he deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, New Dawn and the Global War on Terrorism; Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106; VFA-83, where he deployed aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Inherent Resolve; Commander, Electronic Attack Wing Pacific; Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 2, where he deployed aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) in support of U.S. 3rd Fleet, 7th Fleet, and Carrier Strike Group 1 operations; VFA-125; and Joint Strike Fighter Wing.
 
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various individual, unit and campaign awards.
