Lieutenant Commander Bryan Gill was born and raised in Big Springs, NE.He enlisted in the United States Navy on September 19th , 2001 as a Seaman Recruit. Following Basic Training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Personnelman “A” School in Meridian, Mississippi.

During his enlisted service, he served onboard USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70), homeported in Bremerton, WA, where he rose to the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. His next tour was at Navy Personnel Command (PERS-4010), Millington, TN, where he served as an “A” School Assignments and Major Washington D.C. and Memphis Area Detailer, during this tour he converted to the Navy Counselor rating and was advanced to Petty Officer First Class. Next, he served as the Command Career Counselor onboard USS DENVER (LPD 9), in Sasebo, Japan, where he was named the Sailor of the Year for FY-10. His final enlisted tour was onboard USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54), Yokosuka, Japan, as the Command Career Counselor. LCDR Gill was selected as an Administration Limited Duty Officer and was commissioned 1 October 2011.

His tours as an officer include; Ship’s Secretary, USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72), Flag Secretary, Commander, Naval Air Force, Atlantic, Administrative Officer, Special Reconnaissance Team TWO, Assistant Limited Duty/Chief Warrant Officer Community Manager, BUPERS-3, and Administrative Officer, USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70).

LCDR Gill reported as Executive Officer, Surface Warfare Engineering School (SWESC) Great Lakes in April 2025.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (6), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4), Navy Good Conduct Medal (4), and various campaign and unit awards.
