Captain Michael S. Dalrymple

Captain Mike Dalrymple is originally from Dayton Ohio and is the son of two Air Force Officers, his Mom a Pediatric nurse and his Dad a combat proven F-4 backseater and Test Pilot School graduate. He graduated from The Citadel in 2004 with a double Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and with a Minor in Psychology. He earned a Master of Arts from Boston University in Criminal Justice.

Mike is currently serving as the Commanding Officer of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).

In his previous command tour he served as Commanding Officer of EOD Mobile Unit ONE where he led EOD Platoons and Expeditionary Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Companies in worldwide operations in support of Fleet, Special Operations Forces, and Combatant Command requirements.

His sea duty assignments were as Deputy Commander, MCM Group THREE, Executive Officer of EOD Mobile Unit THREE where he deployed as Deputy Commander Counter-IED Task Force (SPARTA) Combined Joint - Task Force Horn of Africa; Operations Officer for EOD Group ONE, Platoon Commander at EOD Mobile Unit THREE; Navigation Department Head onboard USS MILIUS (DDG 69); Combat Systems Officer and Chief Engineer onboard USS CHAMPION (MCM 4).

Ashore, he served as the Force EOD Officer (CWMD Plans Officer) for Naval Special Warfare Command; Mine Warfare Staff Officer at Surface and Mine Warfare Development Center; and Advanced EOD Training Department Head (AIEDD) at Naval School EOD.

CAPT Dalrymple has earned designation as an EOD Warfare Officer, Surface Warfare Officer, Naval Parachutist (Freefall), and Master Training Specialist.
