Maj. Cameron A. Hubbard

Major Cameron A. Hubbard is a native of Springfield, Missouri. He reported to Officer Candidates School (OCS) Platoon Leaders Course in June 2010. Upon graduating OCS in August 2010, he returned to Missouri State University (MSU) and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in May 2011.  He was commissioned through OCS in June 2011. He earned his Master of Professional Studies with a focus in Applied Communication from MSU in December 2018.

Upon graduating from The Basic School, he reported to Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton, Florida, for the Aviation Maintenance Officers Course. He graduated in September 2012 and was designated a 6002 MOS, aircraft maintenance officer.

In September 2012, he reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 26 at Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and performed the duties of officer in charge of both Airframes and Power Plants Divisions and for a period, the assistant aircraft maintenance officer (AAMO). He received orders to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 263. There he was designated as the squadron’s maintenance material control officer (MMCO). In February 2014, he deployed with VMM-263 (REIN) as part of the 22D Marine Expeditionary Unit. He then served as the AAMO of VMM-263.

He reported to VMM-364 at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, and assisted with the squadron’s transition from the CH-46E to the MV-22B. He was designated the AAMO and assisted in the squadron completing all transition milestones. In October 2015, he was promoted to the rank of captain. He deployed with the unit in March 2017 as the AAMO and the MMCO as part of the Special Marine Air Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Combatant Command in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. In November 2017, he reported to the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT) Detachment Camp Pendleton and was designated as the assistant officer in charge.

In July 2019, he reported to resident Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, Virginia. Upon graduation he received orders to MALS-13 at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Yuma, Arizona. Upon his arrival in May 2020, he assumed the duties of the squadron operations officer. In February 2021, he was promoted to major. In April 2021, he was named as the squadron’s executive officer.

In June 2022, he reported to the Manpower Management Officer Assignments Branch to assume the role of the aviation ground majors monitor. In June 2023, he transitioned to the deputy aviation lieutenant colonel monitor billet where he served for two years.

He began serving as officer in charge at CNATT Detachment Camp Pendleton in July 2025.

His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards).
