Lieutenant Commander Alexander K. Morris

A native of Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, Lieutenant Commander Alexander Morris commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of New Mexico, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Math and Statistics. He is a qualified Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Officer and Diving Officer.

LCDR Morris began his operational career after graduating from the Joint Diving Officer course in 2015 and Explosive Ordnance Disposal School in 2016. His first assignment was with EOD Mobile Unit Six, where he deployed to the United Arab Emirates to support the Task Force 56 Antiterrorism and Force Protection Operations. In 2019, he was assigned to Expeditionary Exploitation Unit ONE, where he deployed twice to Bahrain as the NAVCENT Exploitation Laboratory Commander.

His shore assignments include serving as the Deputy Branch Head for enlisted distribution at PERS-40 in Millington, as the Military Exercise Planning Deputy Branch Head at U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, and as the N5 Branch Head and Career Training Continuum Program Manager at the Center for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Diving.

LCDR Morris's personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), the Navy Achievement Medal, as well as various unit citations.
