Lieutenant Commander Ethan T. Mayne

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lt. Cmdr. E. T. Mayne graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. He was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in April 2014 and was designated a Naval Aviator in June 2016.

Afloat, Mayne served as a division officer and operations officer with Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron 14 (HM-14) completing two deployments to Pohang, Korea in support of exercise Freedom Shield. Additionally, he served as the future and current operations officer at Mine Countermeasures Group Three in support of Mine Countermeasure operations in the Baltics during exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2023 and in Hawaii during exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024.

Ashore, Mayne served as the airborne research and doctrine officer at the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center Mine Countermeasure Technical Division in San Diego, California. During this tour he served as a battle watch captain in support of Mine Warfare operations in the Baltics during BALTOPS 2022 and in Hawaii during RIMPAC 2022.

His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
