Miami of Ohio University Captures UW-Madison NROTC Fall Invitational Title

MADISON, Wis., (October 15, 2021) – The Miami of University of Ohio Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) unit captured the overall title at this year’s University of Wisconsin-Madison NROTC Fall Invitational Oct. 15. The Redhawks Battalion scored a total of 844.2 points to win by 87.5 points over second place and last year’s overall winner the University of Illinois (756.7) in a tight finish. The host unit, UW-Madison, showed in third place (637.5), Marquette University finished fourth (596.7) and the Chicago NROTC Consortium (Northwestern, Illinois Institute of Technology, University of Illinois at Chicago) followed in fifth place. The UW-Madison Badger Battalion hosted the other NROTC units on the UW-Madison campus. The invitational has been an annual autumn event for 49 years. (U. S. Navy photo by Scott A.
