A small group of Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training leadership and staff celebrated the organization’s 18th birthday Feb. 5.

Established on Naval Air Station Pensacola on Feb. 5, 2003, Capt. Bryant Hepstall, CNATT’s eleventh commanding officer, spoke about the organization’s history and “bright” future, as special guests from Naval Education and Training Command’s leadership looked on. NETC Commander Rear. Adm. Pete Garvin and NETC Force Master Chief Matthew Harris dropped by to help celebrate CNATT’s birthday.

A ceremonial cake was cut and served to the event’s attendees.

Several CNATT “rockstars” were also recognized by Garvin for their recent achievements. They were:

•Frank Palmer, CNATT’s Senior Civilian of the Quarter, fourth quarter, 2020
•Tracy Clark, CNATT Junior Civilian of the Quarter, fourth quarter, 2020
•Marine Staff Sgt. Ernest Winter, for his work on various CNATT reports during the COVID pandemic.  Winter received a special command coin from Garvin.
