DAHLGREN, Va. – 23 Fire Controlman (Aegis) students graduated the FCA “A” School pilot at Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) AEGIS Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) onboard Naval Support Facility Dahlgren, Virginia, March 27.

SCSTC, in coordination with Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, executed the pilot to provide the best and highest technical level of training in the shortest amount of time. By breaking out FCAs into their own “A” School, SCSTC ATRC can deliver more essential SPY radar fundamentals early in their training pipeline. This milestone isn't just for the Aegis community, but for the entire Surface Force. These graduates are the future leaders of the Fleet!

SCSTC is part of the Naval Education and Training Command, led by Rear Adm. Greg Huffman. SCSTC is a training organization that consists of 15 global learning sites and detachments. Its mission is to provide the U.S. Navy and our allies with highly trained warfighters to maintain, operate, and tactically employ surface combat systems across the spectrum of operations. Annually, SCSTC delivers training to over 31,000 U.S. Navy Sailors as well as 1,100 international Sailors from 27 partner nations.
