200421-N-IY633-1009

200421-N-IY633-1009 GREAT LAKES, Ill. (April 21, 2020) New recruits arrive at an off-base facility for a 14-day restriction of movement (ROM) prior to the recruits beginning their official in-processing for basic training. Recruit Training Command (RTC) is conducting the initial 14-day ROM in an off-site facility, which provides rooms with a small number of recruits, reducing the risk of spreading the virus amongst them should any individual be infected. This off-site ROM will also protect the recruits and staff already at RTC by increasing the space available at RTC for physical distancing procedures.
