200421-N-PW480-0091 CHICAGO (April 21, 2020) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Ashley Smith, a recruit division commander assigned to Recruit Training Command (RTC), collects information from a recruit as part of a preliminary health screening at Chicago O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois. RTC is conducting the initial 14-day restriction of movement in an off-site facility, which provides rooms with a small number of recruits, reducing the risk of spreading the virus amongst them should any individual be infected. This off-site ROM will also protect the recruits and staff already at RTC by increasing the space available at RTC for physical distancing procedures.
