PENSACOLA, Fla. (July 21, 2021) Rear Adm. Pete Garvin, commander, Naval Education and Training Command (NETC), back left, and Force Master Chief Matthew Harris, back right, meet with former NETC leaders to celebrate NETC's 50th anniversary at Naval Air Station Pensacola. Seated from left to right are retired Force Master Chief Greg Pratt; retired Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Jim Herdt; Ms. Nancy Fetterman, who served alongside her late husband, Vice Adm. John “Jack” Fetterman; retired Rear Adm. Donald Quinn; and retired Fleet Master Chief April Beldo-Lilley. NETC is the U.S. Navy’s Force Development pillar and largest shore command. Through its “Street to Fleet” focus, NETC recruits civilians and transforms them into skilled warfighters ready to meet the current and future needs of the U.S. Navy.
