DAHLGREN, Va. (June 01, 2022) Both Capt. George Kessler (left), commodore, Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC), and Capt. Russ Sanchez (middle), commanding officer, SCSTC AEGIS Training and Readiness Center (ATRC), discuss the Reconfigurable Combat Information Center Trainer’s (RCT) capabilities and emphasize how it is engineered to replicate a naval warship’s actual combat suite to Rear Adm. Pete Garvin, commander, Naval Education and Training Command (NETC), during his tour of the schoolhouse onboard Naval Support Facility (NSF) Dahlgren. The RCT was funded by Director, Surface Warfare’s (OPNAV N96) program of record, Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment-Combat Systems (STAVE-CS), which was introduced in 2015 as a means to provide better quality training resulting in more rapid qualifications of our Sailors.
