DAHLGREN, Va. (Oct. 06, 2021) Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) AEGIS Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) Instructor Fire Controlman (Aegis) 1st Class Kirt Palmer demonstrates to his students how to execute maintenance and troubleshooting procedures using the Aegis Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT), a high-fidelity 3D training simulation. The VMT provides a virtual representation of the entire Aegis Weapon System computer network. It was developed, funded and delivered as part of the Director, Surface Warfare’s, OPNAV N96, program of record, Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment-Combat Systems (STAVE-CS).
