Delbert Hosemann and House Speaker Philip Gunn unveil the Blue Star Memorial Marker, a gift to the state by Deep South Garden Clubs Inc. The Blue Star Marker program began in 1945 to honor Servicemembers in World War II. Today, over 300 of these markers can be seen all across the United States to honor all of those who have served.
