South Carolina Army National Guard mobilizes to clear obstacles in Bluffton

The South Carolina Army National Guard's 124th Engineer Company, part of the 122nd Engineer Battalion and 117th Engineer Brigade, was activated on Aug. 5, 2024 for State Active Duty ahead of Tropical Storm Debby. The unit, comprising around 15 soldiers, is deploying to Bluffton, SC, to facilitate infrastructure recovery by clearing road and path obstacles. Their deployment includes LMTVs, wreckers, generators, fuel, water, and food supplies to ensure operational effectiveness and community support. (U.S. Army National Guard video by Spc.
