The Bulgarian Special Forces took part in Saber Guardian 2017, a US-led exercise in Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania involving more than 25,000 troops from over 20 NATO Allies and partner nations. In this piece, a member of the group talks about what it’s like to be in the Special Forces and how they feel Bulgaria is like a second mother they need to protect. Footage includes the Special Forces operatives on a helicopter, descending via ropes and storming a building.
