Short-term reenlistment opportunities during COVID-19 pandemic
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Army has announced a new reenlistment policy that will last
through Sept. 30.
Roughly 9,000 Soldiers within six months of leaving the Army are now eligible for short-term
reenlistments
Previous reenlistment options for Soldiers start at 12 months or longer
The new policy allows extension options from three to 11 months.
Interested Soldiers must get their commander’s approval
These reenlistments give would-be transitioning Soldiers financial stability during uncertain times
