Teaching Afghan Guest at Camp Atterbury

JoAnne Sukus, a Gender Advisor assigned to U.S. Transportation Command, helps teach Afghan individuals at Camp Atterbury, Ind. Oct. 19, 2021 on information about what to expect in America after completing the resettlement process. Afghan guests have the opportunity to learn about independent life skills that are practiced daily in the American life. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities in permanent or temporary structures as quickly as possible.
