Nearly 100 Texas National Guard members with Operation Lone Star receive training from the U.S. Border Patrol Feb. 18-20, 2025, in McAllen, Texas. Operation Lone Star, comprised of Texas Guard members in a state active duty status, works with state and federal law enforcement officials, including U.S. Border Patrol, with a mission to deter, detect, and stop illegal border crossings and to interdict transnational criminals.
