Lapse in Appropriations: The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025.
Military personnel will continue in normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

The Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) Gulfport is located at Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport (NCBC), Mississippi, near downtown Gulfport on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

NCTC Gulfport is an Echelon V command, reporting to the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) and subject to the regional area coordination authority of the commanding officer, NCBC Gulfport.

NCTC Gulfport provides support to the CSFE Detachment Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, and CSFE Detachment Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, as their responsible Training Systems Detachment.
