Command Master Chief Jeffrey S. Hogan

Command Master Chief Jeffrey Hogan is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and enlisted in the U.S. Navy May 1997. After completing Recruit and Electronics Technician Training, he reported to Southern Region Signal Support Regiment in Naples, Italy.

In July 2001, he reported to USS PETERSON (DD 969) where he served as Work Center Supervisor and decommissioned the ship in November of 2002.

In December of 2002, he reported to CNATTU-Keesler AFB, serving as a calibration instructor and night ship Leading Petty Officer.  He would also complete a six-month Individual Augmentee assignment to Kosovo as J6 NCOIC.  He would report to USS HOPPER (DDG 70) in September of 2006, where he would be selected to Chief Petty Officer.  His follow-on tours would be Recruit Training Command in April of 2010 and USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19) in February of 2013.

He reported to Navy Data Center in Yokosuka, Japan in April of 2015 as CSEL and later selected to Command Senior Chief in 2016 and would remain there, advancing to Command Master Chief in 2017.  

His previous Command Master Chief (CMC) assignments include USS WHIDBEY ISLAND (LSD 41), Naval Station Great Lakes, Surface Combat Systems Training Command, Naval Station Newport, RI, and USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC 20).  Master Chief Hogan assumed his current duties as the CMC of NSTC in October of 2025.
He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, (Gold), the CMC/COB Course and the advanced CMC course. He is qualified in Enlisted Surface Warfare.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
