The Advanced IED Disposal (AIEDD) Course at the Advanced EOD Training Center provides advanced training in Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TT&P) to joint service EOD technicians and personnel from various federal agencies, to diagnose, disable, contain and dispose of sophisticated Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in varied environments including homeland defense, battlefield and peacekeeping operations.
COVID-19 Guidance
For 100% fully immunized individuals, restriction of movement (ROM) sequester is no longer required, unless showing symptoms.
Fully immunized individuals no longer need to quarantine following travel for 7 months after their final dose (these folks must remain without symptoms and two weeks must have passed since their final dose).
For individuals not immunized, ROM (self-quarantine) is required 10 days prior to the course start date.
For individuals with symptoms suspected to be COVID, restriction of movement is 10 days, or later if symptoms persist.

 PREREQUISITE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Attendees must possess a current SECRET clearance.
  • Submit a DISS visitor request (formerly JPAS) to SMO CODE 626406. Must be submitted NLT 30 days from course start date.
  • U.S. Navy personnel - must have graduated from A-431-0011 EOD Basic or a combination of A-431- 0134 and A-431-0133. Must be a qualified EOD Technician with at least one year of field experience and at least one Optimized Fleet Readiness Plan.
  • U.S. Air Force personnel - must have graduated from A-431-0012 EOD Basic (Surface) or A-433-0134 DOD EOD Common Core. Must be an E-5 or E-5 Select.
  • U.S. Marine Corps personnel - must be a graduate from A-431-0012 EOD Basic, Surface or A-431-0134, DOD Joint EOD Common Core (CID: N56GPX1). Must be currently serving in a 2305/2336 billet. Must have a minimum one year field experience or, determined by their leadership that this training is a requirement due to operational tempo and necessity. Students must have a final secret clearance based off a favorable SSBI.
 MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

Any psychotropic/psychoactive medication that can affect mentation or judgment is cause for concern due to the extreme dangers associated with this course. Examples, though not exclusive, of these medications are anti-depressants, narcotics, benzodiazepines, muscle relaxers, blood thinners or clotting agents.
 
Prospective attendees must submit Form 1500/5 Rev. 7-22 electronically to NAVSCOLEOD not later than 30 calendar days prior to arrival. Prospective attendees must submit Form 1500/5 Rev. 7-22 electronically to christopher.m.dewey2.mil@us.navy.mil not later than 30 calendar days prior to arrival. The screening sheet is valid for 45 Days after the healthcare provider signs the screening sheet. Section 1 and 2 must be electronically signed by the attendee’s healthcare provider.

 LODGING/MESSING

Lodging and messing facilities are not available at our training location. Site C-87 is a satellite training facility of Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) and is not located near on-base lodging. It is recommended that students use Niceville or Crestview as their per diem location when booking via DTS. If statement of non-availability is required, students need to contact White Sands Inn on Eglin AFB (850) 882-5025.
 
Students must provide their own lunch during training days.

EOD Basic Electronics Course: This course will assist students to identify basic electronic components and functionality of circuits.

From Niceville (Hwy 20). Travel North on Hwy 285 (11.7 miles) to Bob Sikes Hwy. Turn right on Bob Sikes Hwy and proceed for 2 miles. Turn left into Site C-87 on LT Chris Mosko road. Both roads have large signs directing to Site C-87.
 
From I-10. Take Exit 70/ Hwy 285 South and proceed 7 miles to Bob Sikes road. Turn left and proceed 2 miles. Turn left into Site C-87 on LT Chris Mosko Road. Both roads have directional NAVSCOLEOD Site C-87 signs.
