Reporting Information

Keesler Air Force Base
 STUDENTS

Reporting
TEMADD or Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders are required for all courses. The orders must identify course number and title, student's name, rate/rank, and social security number.

1) All students on PCS orders or from out-of-area and arriving earlier than class convening date must have their orders stamped at Bldg. 4331, Allee Hall.

2) Students should arrive one day before class convening day, reporting directly to Bldg. 2818, McClelland Hall.

3) Students must report to classes no later than 6:30 a.m. on class convening date.

Command Obligations
Student performance is improved when regular duty requirements do not interfere with student requirements after the school day is completed.

Uniforms
Reporting uniform is the Navy service uniform or service khaki. Students will comply with Navy dress and grooming standards.

Uniform of the day for all students is the Navy Working Uniform. All E-6 and below will wear Navy service uniforms on the first Monday of each quarter. Officers and chief petty officers will wear service khaki on the first Monday of each quarter.

Class Periods/Hours
Classes normally consist of nine hours of instruction a day with lunch break. Standard class hours are 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Discipline
A breach of discipline on liberty or duty will result in immediate disciplinary action, which may include dis-enrollment and return to parent command.

Berthing
Berthing arrangements for students will be made by the parent command. Air Force Inns – Keesler AFB reservations may be contacted at (228) 374-0088.

Leave
Leave, except for emergency leave, will not be granted to student personnel unless authorized in their orders by the parent command. Modification to orders authorizing leave will not be honored unless received in writing prior to student's scheduled departure date.

Messing
Keesler AFB provides messing facilities for students. Requests for non-availability are the responsibility of Keesler AFB Billeting.

Transportation
School locations are within walking distance of all barracks rooms. Out-of-area students arriving at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport should take a commercial taxi to Keesler AFB. The base operates a shuttle around base as well as a shuttle to and from local hotels.

POVs
Students may park in the lot on E Street across from Bldg. 2818, McClelland Hall.
 
 STAFF
Congratulations on your orders to Information Warfare Training Site Keesler. We are certain your tour with us will be a positive and rewarding experience. Instructors have the opportunity to facilitate courses on the latest technology and support the fleet with their learning requirements. In addition, instructors have the opportunity to complete their Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification.

The Biloxi area has an abundance of cultural and extracurricular activities to keep you and your family busy outside of working hours. Biloxi is just over an hour drive from Mobile, Alabama, and New Orleans, Louisiana, allowing staff to take advantage of all the activities offered by those cities.

Read your orders completely. If required, get all polygraphs, physical exams, and special screenings completed prior to arrival. Be sure to bring appropriate civilian attire.

Checking in
During working hours (6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday), report in uniform of the day. Call (288) 376-8308/ 8309/8312 for further information.

Reservations
Please notify your sponsor if you are in need of barracks or officer quarters. Inns of Keesler reservations may be contacted at (228) 377-4900.

Household Goods
Minimize express/household goods shipments. Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) rooms are relatively small and all necessities are provided. Cooking appliances are PROHIBITED in the BEQ. Maid service, towels, and sheets are provided.
