Information Warfare Training Command Monterey: Reporting

To pay tribute to the sacrifice of Senior Chief Cryptologic Technician Interpretive Shannon Kent, who was killed in action in Manbij, Syria, Jan. 16, 2019, Sailors from Information Warfare Training Command Monterey held a memorial ceremony and participated in an honor run through the Presidio of Monterey on Jan. 14, 2022.

Staff and students follow the same check-in process:

If you need information enroute, call the quarterdeck.
If you arrive at Monterey Peninsula Airport, call the quarterdeck for duty driver pickup.
When you arrive at the Presidio of Monterey, go to the IWTC Monterey quarterdeck with your orders so that they may be stamped; you will receive further instruction.
You are required to be in uniform if checking in during normal working hours.

HOUSING FOR STAFF, STUDENT OFFICER, STAFF ENLISTED (E-4 AND ABOVE), STUDENT FLEET RETURNEES (E-4 AND ABOVE)

All military personnel are required to contact and in-process with the Presidio of Monterey Housing Services Office prior to renting, leasing or buying a home by calling 831-242-7974.
Privatized military housing is available for single service members and military families at The Parks at Monterey Bay, and other information is available on the Army Housing Online website.
Single students and staff (E-4 and above) receive BAH and reside off-base.
Single officers desiring to stay in the BOQ should call the Reservations Office in advance to check for room availability. BOQ rooms are extremely limited so expect to live off-base.
Geographical Bachelors accommodations are extremely limited and only available for personnel presenting unique circumstances. Applications must be routed directly to the command Senior Enlisted Leader prior to executing orders to IWTC Monterey. BARRACKS FOR SINGLE SAILORS (E-3 AND BELOW)

Required to reside in the barracks on the Presidio of Monterey.

Each barracks room has a minimum of 72 to 90 square feet of space. Furniture for each Sailor consists of:

1 Locker - 42"W x 74"H x 24"D with 1 shelf 42"W x 22"D
1 Single Bed with storage, 2 - 28"W x 7"H x 20"D
1 Desk - 3 drawers
1 Desk chair
1 Single bed

What not to bring:

TV's (provided in all lounges)
Personal furniture of any kind (not authorized)
Large amounts of clothing (no space)

There is limited bicycle storage (outside). It is not suited for long term storage, because of the damp climate in this area. If you plan to bring a bicycle, please contact the barracks to find a storage solution.

Parking is extremely limited on the Presidio of Monterey for barracks students around the barracks buildings.
