Master Chief Petty Officer Damien Pulvino

Master Chief Petty Officer Damien Pulvino, a native of Seattle, enlisted in the Navy in July 1997. After basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Naval Station Great Lakes, where he completed Radioman “A” School. He holds undergraduate degrees in both management and information technology. Pulvino is also a distinguished graduate of Senior Enlisted Academy Class 176, Command Leadership School Class 123, Executive Leadership Symposium and MAJCOM Command Master Chief Course.
 
Upon graduation from Radioman “A” School, he reported for his initial duty assignment with Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Guam. He then served aboard USS Vincennes (CG 49); USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) with Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet; and USS George Washington (CVN 73), all forward-deployed units out of Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan. In addition, Pulvino completed a shore assignment with Defense Information Systems Agency Pacific at Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii.
 
He was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2013 and served his initial tour as command senior chief and command master chief aboard USS Patriot (MCM 7), forward-deployed out of Sasebo Naval Base, Japan. In 2016, Pulvino reported to his follow-on assignment as command master chief of Airborne Command & Control Squadron 125 (VAW-125), known as the “Tigertails,” where he led the command through a home-port shift from Norfolk, Virginia, to Iwakuni, Japan. He later returned to Yokosuka, serving as command master chief of NCTS Far East and the Blue Ridge, the 7th Fleet flagship.
 
Pulvino reported to Center for Information Warfare Training at Naval Air Station Pensacola’s Corry Station, Florida, as command master chief in September 2024.
 
He is the recipient of multiple individual, unit, and campaign decorations and awards. His units and crews have earned numerous warfare pennants, Battle Efficiency and Retention Excellence awards.
 
In his Navy career, Pulvino has achieved the enlisted surface warfare, information warfare and aviation warfare designations.
