Captain Ronnie Harper

Commanding Officer, Naval Air Technical Training Center

Capt. Ronnie Harper, a native of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, joined the U.S. Navy in December 1986, and after boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Avionics “A” School. He was commissioned as a limited duty officer in May 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Science in professional aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 2006 and a Master of Business Administration from Touro International University in 2008.

Commander Lawrence P. Smith

Executive Officer, Naval Air Technical Training Center

Cmdr. Lawrence P. Smith, a native of Middleburg, Florida, graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. After earning his commission through Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida, he received his naval aviator wings in December 2003 from Training Wing (TW) 1 in Meridian, Mississippi and completed fleet replacement training in the E-2C Hawkeye with Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 120, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Command Master Chief Bobby D. Norton

Command Master Chief, Naval Air Technical Training Center

Command Master Chief Bobby Norton, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1995, and after bootcamp at Recruit Training Command Great Lake, Illinois, he attended Aviation Structural Mechanic (AMS) "A" School. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University. He was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program in 2018 and is a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 19010), the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy (Red Group, Class 201) and Advance Command Master Chief course (24060).
