STUDENT INFORMATION

Welcome to CNATTU Whidbey Island. While onboard, you will receive the best instruction available from our professional Navy instructors. We expect you to be as diligent in your studies as the instructors are in providing you the material pertinent to your specialty. What you learn here will enhance your ability to perform your assigned duties in the expected proficient manner upon reporting to your follow-on duty station. Welcome aboard!

In advance of travel from current duty station, contact CNATTU Whidbey Island Student Control Office at: (360) 257-6380 or to confirm reporting aboard process, as well as, ground transportation arrangements from SEA-TAC Airport to NAS Whidbey Island. Additionally, you may send an email to CNATTUWHDBTSD@us.navy.mil. Alternatively you may call the Command Duty Officer at: (360) 320-7627.

If you are arriving by air to Sea-Tac International Airport, transportation is available, and you can get information about prices and schedules by stopping in at the Sea-Tac USO Center, located outside security on the mezzanine level and open 24/7. Signs directing you to the USO can be found on your way to the baggage claim area.  Government transportation is not offered to or from Sea-Tac. The use of a commercial shuttle company (example: SeaTac Shuttle) is authorized on your PCS orders to/from CNATTU Whidbey and from/to Sea-Tac. Make a one-way reservation to NAS Whidbey BEQ. Once you arrive at the BEQ, contact the CNATTU assistant command duty officer at (360) 320-7947 to stamp your orders and direct you to billeting.  You will get reimbursed for your shuttle when you process your travel claim with Admin as long as you keep your receipt.  The use of commercial cabs or rideshare programs is not authorized coming from Sea-Tac.

Sailors will report in the uniform of the day or NWUs. Sailors will adhere to grooming standards (men with a fresh haircut and clean shaven) and wear pressed uniforms. If you are reporting during the work day (6:45 a.m. - 4 p.m.), report directly to TSD in Building 976, Room A-22. If you report after normal working hours, or on the weekend or holiday, you should proceed to CNATTU Duty Office to have orders stamped.  Report to Student Services at 6:30 a.m. the next working day.

REQUIRED: When reporting in you will have your original orders with you.

Sailors are required to report with a complete sea bag. Unless otherwise directed, Sailors will wear service uniforms or NWUs while attending classroom instruction.
