Lieutenant Commander Joshua R. Lamb

Lieutenant Commander Joshua Lamb is a native of Gainesville, Missouri and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2006 as an Equipment Operator (EO). Following recruit training in Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended EO “A” School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. In 2017, he earned a commission through the Limited Duty Officer program and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Business Administration from American Military University.

His enlisted tours include Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 74 where he deployed to Iraq and Djibouti, Africa in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) Detachment Fort Leonard Wood

as a EO “A” School instructor and Navy Military Trainer Instructor (NMTI) and; a second tour with NMCB-74 where he deployed to Djibouti, Africa, and then to NMCB-11 completing two deployments to Rota, Spain.

His commissioned tours include NMCB-5 as the Convoy Security Element Officer (CSE-6), Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN-6) Officer, and deployed to Korea as the Naval Construction Force (NCF) Korean Theater of Operations (KTO) Liaison Officer; Naval Construction Group ONE (NCG1) as the Plans Officer (N5) responsible for NCF strategy, policies, doctrine, long-range planning, and the development of NCF Operation Plans/Concept Plans in the Indo-Pacific Command Area of Responsibility and; Center for Seabees Facilities Engineering (CSFE) Detachment Fort Leonard Wood as the Officer In Charge; Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (NEXWDC) as the NCF Force Development (Fd) Program Manager.

In 2025, Lieutenant Commander Lamb assumed duties as the Executive Officer, Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC), Gulfport, Mississippi.

Lieutenant Commander Lamb’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Army Achievement Medal and various unit and campaign awards. He is qualified as a Master Training Specialist, Navy Military Training Instructor, Seabee Combat Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare and JPME1.
