There are two Navy Leadership and Ethics Commands, San Diego, California, and Dam Neck, Virginia, offering ELD courses, as well as a multitude of ELD courses being offered throughout the world.

Your class facilitator will provide you with a digital copy of our student guide, or it can be downloaded from the MyNavy Portal Personnel Qualification Standards (PQS) Enlisted Leadership Development section. Please print it prior to arriving to your class.

Yes. Virtual courses are only offered by our two schoolhouses in San Diego, California, and Dam Neck, Virginia. More detailed information can be found on CANTRAC.

If you have questions about a POC for your area, please contact the ELD schoolhouse that supports your area via the Contact Us section of the site.

To find an ELD course being offered in your area, log into the Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC) (CAC login required) or ask your training officer for further details. C-NLDF's in the Fleet use the NAVAIR portal.

To request a MTT for a C-NLDF course, please contact the ELD schoolhouse that supports your area. Visit our Contact Us page to send an email or for schoolhouse mailing addresses and phone numbers.

No. Only certified facilitators from either of the two ELD schoolhouses can qualify new C-NLDFs.

No. Each course is specific to a paygrade. Refer to the Program Overview section of this website for specific eligibility information for each course.

Yes, certified C-NLDFs can facilitate courses within their command, but it is not desired. All efforts should be made to send Sailors to an ELD course outside of their current command.

Yes, you have to follow the course objectives and hit all key points. The current timeline to complete each course is as follows:  FLDC 3 days, ILDC 3 days, ALDC 4 days, CPOLDC 5 days.
Virtual courses offered at the two ELD schoolhouses will be one day longer than the in-person offered courses.
