Trident Training Facility Bangor: Leadership

Sailors receive hands-on training inside the Damage Control Wet Trainer at Trident Training Facility at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor. The trainer is designed to help submariners prepare for deployments by simulating flooding in a controlled environment.

Captain Benjamin C. Pollock

Commanding Officer, Trident Training Facility Bangor
Captain Pollock is a native of Ithaca, New York. He is a graduate of Cornell University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and received his commission through the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps in May of 2001.
Lieutenant Commander William Pacl

Executive Officer, Trident Training Facility Bangor
Lt. Cmdr. William Pacl enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2005 and earned his commission in 2013 through the Seaman to Admiral-21 Program. He graduated in 2011 from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in physics and in 2019 from the University of Texas in Arlington with a master’s degree in public administration.
Mr. John Mohn

Executive Director, Trident Training Facility Bangor
Mr. John Mohn, a native of Waldorf, Md., enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1984. Following graduation from the Naval Academy Preparatory in 1985, he entered the United States Naval Academy and graduated with distinction in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in systems engineering. He is also a 2001 distinguished graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he earned a master’s in Business Administration.
Command Master Chief Christopher J. Smith

Command Master Chief, Trident Training Facility Bangor
Master Chief Christopher Smith, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, enlisted in the United States Navy in April of 2007. He graduated basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois, and then reported to Naval Submarine School for Basic Enlisted Submarine School, completing initial submarine training, with follow on training at Torpedoman “A” School in Groton, Connecticut.
