 STUDENTS

All students are expected to check in at the quarterdeck in building 11, which is shared by both Mine Warfare Training Center and Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) San Diego. If checking in after hours, speak with the quarterdeck duty officer, who will assist you with berthing.

Questions regarding locations for specific classes can be addressed by calling the quarterdeck at (619) 524-1689.

Report aboard in Navy Working Uniform (NWU).

If you are driving, ensure your vehicle is properly registered. Be able to provide proof of registration and insurance. All out-of-state vehicles that are more than four years old require a smog check. Parking is only provided at Naval Base Point Loma Harbor Drive Annex for E-4 and above. An overflow lot is available for use, located across from the main gate.

The base main gate is located at the intersection of Lanning Road and North Harbor Drive.
 
 STAFF

All staff checking into Mine Warfare Training Center, located at the intersection of Lanning Road and North Harbor Drive, will check in at the quarterdeck, located in building 11.

If you are driving, ensure your vehicle is properly registered. Be able to provide proof of registration and insurance. All out-of-state vehicles that are more than four years old require a smog check. Parking is only provided at Naval Base Point Loma Harbor Drive Annex for E-4 and above.

If you are flying, the base is located less than a mile from the airport. There is a USO located outside Terminal 2 and they can assist in the coordination of travel to the base for military personnel and dependents.

Those checking in from Navy Instructor Training School in San Diego must check in no later than the day immediately following graduation as noted in Permanent Change of Station orders. Failure to check in on the day of graduation or next immediate day may result in involuntary use of personal leave.

Utilize your command sponsor to coordinate your check in process.
