Captain Jeff D. Betz

Commanding Officer, Mariner Skills Training Center Atlantic

Capt. Betz, a native of Ohio, graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2001 with a degree in Political Science. He was commissioned through the university's Naval ROTC program. He holds a master’s degree in Regional Studies from Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, where he earned the prestigious Louis D. Liskin Award for Excellence in Regional Security Studies.

Cmdr. Benjamin J. Mills

Cmdr. Benjamin J. Mills, a native of Chaska, Minnesota, graduated in 2008 from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and earned his commission through the Navy ROTC program. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a Master of Science in Engineering Management.

Command Master Chief Frank Samuel Jackson

Command Master Chief, Mariner Skills Training Center Atlantic

Command Master Chief Jackson, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in February 1995. After boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Aviation Electronics Technician “A” School in Millington, Tennessee. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 202 (Orange) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course, Class 179. He holds an Associate of Arts in Electronics from Coastline Community College.

Ms. Valerie DiMichele

Ms. Valerie DiMichele, a native of Silver Spring, MD, is a graduate of Virginia Tech, earning her B.A. in History with minors in Military Science and Leadership. She earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Management from American Military University.
