CEC CAPT(s) Leadership Course
Course Description:
To provide officers recently selected or promoted to Captain (06) in the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) with recent updates within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM) and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) and updates of the most recent leadership philosophies, mission strategies, and program management development within the NAVFACENGCOM. This will allow them to effectively meet operational readiness, worldwide contingency, and expeditionary operations and to manage their responsibilities and programs in support of Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, and Marine Corps missions.
CEC CDR(s) Leadership Course
Course Description:
CEC CDR(s) Leadership Course description: To provide officers recently selected or promoted to Commander (05) in the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) with recent updates within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM) and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) and updates of the most recent leadership philosophies, mission strategies, and program management development within the NAVFACENGCOM. This will allow them to effectively meet operational readiness, worldwide contingency, expeditionary operations and to manage their responsibilities and programs in support of Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, and Marine Corps missions.
Civil Engineer Corps Lieutenant Commander (Select) Leadership
Course Description:
To provide officers recently selected or promoted to Lieutenant Commander (04) in the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) with recent updates within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM) and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) and updates of the most recent leadership philosophies, mission strategies, and program management development within the NAVFACENGCOM. This will allow them to effectively meet operational readiness, worldwide contingency, and expeditionary operations and to manage their responsibilities and programs in support of Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, and Marine Corps missions.
Civil Engineer Corps Officer Basic Qualification (Reserve Officers)
Course Description:
This two week course provides a general overview of the Reserve CEC in today's Navy. It includes one and one half weeks of classroom instruction and one week of field exercise training. It is taught in conjunction with the Active duty CEC Basic Officer's course. Direct Commission Officer Indoctrination or another approved officer accession program is a prerequisite. Location is Port Hueneme, California and Fort Hunter Liggett, California.
Civil Engineer Corps Officer Basic Qualification / Naval Construction Force (NCF)
Course Description:
This pipeline is specifically for trainees assigned to a Naval Construction Force unit as their first tour of duty. The Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) Officers School Basic Qualification Course, Naval Construction Force is designed to provide junior CEC officers with the fundamental knowledge and skills in construction and facilities management, contracting, and the role of the CEC in the Navy and the Department of Defense (DoD) in order to be immediately effective upon assuming their first assignment. This umbrella CIN will provide in-depth instruction in the following ten courses:

CEC Tactical Training Course
CEC Construction Management Course
Construction Quality Management for Contractors
Construction Hazard Awareness Safety Training
40-Hour Safety Training
Naval Construction Force Operations Basic
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Fundamentals (CON 90)

Division Officer Leadership Course
This course will enable graduating trainees to perform supervisory tasks associated with Navy assignments in both peacetime and contingency operations.
Civil Engineer Corps Officer Basic Qualification / Public Works (PW)
Course Description:
This pipeline is specifically for trainees assigned to a Public Works Department unit as their first tour of duty.
The Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) Officers School Basic Qualification Course Public Works Department is designed to provide junior CEC officers with the fundamental knowledge and skills in construction and facilities management, contracting, and the role of the CEC in the Navy and the Department of Defense (DoD) in order to be immediately effective upon assuming their first assignment.
This umbrella CIN will provide in-depth instruction in the following courses:

Division Officer Leadership Course
Course Description:
The Division Officer Leadership Course is designed to resemble the first tour of a Division Officer. A major instructional theme of the course is teaching a junior officer the importance of building and maintaining an effective work climate while providing positive oversight and management of resources.
The Division Officer Leadership Development Program consists of classroom attendance of the Division Officer Leadership Course (DIVOLC). DIVOLC provides junior officers the necessary tools to function as effective leaders at the Division Officer level. Previous completion of the Division Officer Capstone satisfies the requirements for the DIVOLC. The Navy Leadership Development Strategy (NLDS) assigns the following outcomes for the average rank of a Division Officer (O-1 to O-2): Understands and lives relationship of Oath to Navy Core Values; Personal values consistent with Navy Core Values; Practices sound judgment; Enforces rules, regulations and procedures; Valued team leader; Fosters loyalty up and down the chain of command.
The Navy Leadership Competency Model (NLCM) assigns the following competencies to the Division Officer develop program: Accomplishing Mission; Leading People; Leading Change; Working with People; and Resource Stewardship. Students will be applying leadership skill sets based on the content derived from the NLDS and the NLCM. Students may not return to parent command for duty or watch standing IAW NAVADMIN 033/06.
