Construction Battalion Operations
Course Description:
CSFE/CECOS, IN CONJUNCTION WITH GENERAL DYNAMICS (GD) ARE IN THE PROCESS OF REWRITING THE CBOPS COURSE. THE LAST CBOPS COURSE IS SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 2010. AFTER THIS DATE, NCF OPS BASIC AND ADVANCE COURSES WILL REPLACE CBOPS. PLEASE SEE THE CECOS NCF OPS WEBPAGES.
This two-week course is designed to prepare the CEC officer and Seabee Chief Petty Officer for a tour with a Naval Construction Force (NCF) operating unit or training command. The course includes a staff planning exercise.
Naval Construction Force Construction Project Management
Course Description:
The Naval Construction Force Construction Project Management course is designed to provide Naval Construction Force (NCF) personnel and Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) Officers the construction management knowledge and skills necessary to understand and perform as a construction manager or a staff member of Echelon II command for multiple and/or large-scale NCF construction projects, with ultimate responsibility for the successful execution of the projects, specifically fiscal management, oversight duties, and reports to higher headquarters, in accordance with applicable references.
NCF Prospective Operations & Training Staff Course
Course Description:
The Prospective Operations and Training Staff Course (POTSC) is designed to prepare prospective senior staff to assume leadership positions within operations and training organizations and to be responsible for readiness, training, operational employment, program management, and influencing internal and external relationships at force operational levels. The classroom and lab instruction emphasize doctrine, the Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP), Naval Construction Force (NCF) readiness and resources, individual qualifications, management concepts and methodologies, mission planning tools, tactical employment, and guest speaker perspectives involving incumbent command leadership and current NCF operations.
Seabee Chief Petty Officer Management
Course Description:
This two-week course is designed to prepare the Active duty and Reserve Seabee (OF-13) Chief Petty Officer for the transition from lead technician/crew leader to first level manager in the Naval Construction Force or the naval shore establishment. The course provides personnel and administrative management skills necessary for effective supervision of subordinates, competent response to direction of seniors, and proficient interaction with peers.
Staff Planning
Course Description:
This 32-hour course provides ashore Navy military and civilian personnel who generate, handle, or manage hazardous waste with the knowledge and skills to conduct their duties safely and in accordance with: Overseas Environmental Baseline Guidance Document (OEBGD), Final Governing Standards, Status of Forces Agreements, Treaties, Applicable Host Nation hazardous waste laws and regulations, Relevant Navy policies.
NCF Operations BASIC
Course Description:
The Naval Construction Force Operations BASIC course is designed to prepare first-tour officers and Chief Petty Officers with the basic knowledge and skills needed to perform leadership and management duties upon reporting to a Naval Construction Force unit. Classroom and laboratory instruction will be provided in construction and contingency planning and operations, Naval Construction Force, and force programs, under normal conditions.

NCF Operations Advanced
Course Description:
The Naval Construction Force (NCF) Operations Advanced course is designed to prepare NCF officers and senior enlisted with the advanced knowledge and skills needed to perform leadership and management duties upon returning to an NCF unit. Classroom and laboratory instruction will be provided in construction and contingency planning and operations, joint engineering capabilities, staff planning, and force programs.
Starting in FYll, the NCF OPS ADVANCED course will be split into two 5-day classes. The first week will be NCF OPS ADVANCED and the second week Staff Planning. Please sign up for the Staff Planning course offering that corresponds with the NCF OPS ADVANCED your are planning to attend.
