Lapse in Appropriations: The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025.
Military personnel will continue in normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Council on Occupational Education

Naval Chaplaincy School and Center (NCS) is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE).

American Council on Education

NCS courses for chaplains that have been evaluated for recommendation for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE) can be found in the ACE Military Guide, the sole source of information for all military courses and occupations evaluated by the ACE from 1954 to present.

International Association for Continuing Education and Training

NCS is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Professional development courses award Continuing Education Units (CEUs). CEUs will vary from each course length and duration.
