CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

PCS students arriving prior to class convening date check-in at Training Support Department (TSD) Hawaii Building 39 Ford Island, room 106 for processing.

PCS / TAD students arriving day of convening, check-in to the appropriate learning site for class. Ensure you bring all required documentation and verification that all course prerequisites have been met.

SCHOOL HOURS

All Navy school hours are listed in CANTRAC for the specific course (CIN) and by location by the Course Data Processing (CDP) code. CANTRAC can be accessed through MyNavy Portal or at https://app.prod.cetars.training.navy.mil/cantrac/vol2.html.

UNIFORMS

Uniform of the Day will be Service Uniform in accordance with Regional Commanders Uniform Policy and Regulations. Officer/CPO: Service Khaki (unless specifically specified by course)

E-6 & Below: Working Uniform (unless specifically specified by course)

The working uniform is prescribed for classroom training with the exception of Naval Instructor Training Courses (NITC) which require Service Dress Uniforms.

LODGING

Pearl Harbor is a large base with excellent exchange and uniform facilities. Honolulu has the advantage of boasting an International Airport with all amenities (Including a large selection of car rental companies). A host of ATMs from most banks as well as Check cashing facilities are available. On base parking is plentiful. Vehicle registration is required. Base access with a Rental Car requires Rental Agreement and matching CAC identification. Students are reminded that they may only park in designated areas. Driving a motorcycle onboard a naval facility requires the proper attire and successful completion of a DoD Motorcycle Safety Course. Qualified motorcyclists will comply with OPNAVINST 5100.12 series. Honolulu is a high cost area year-around. Hotels, motels and off-base housing is expensive. Students should make reservations at the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (Pearl Harbor Side) or Navy Gateway Inns and Suites Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (Hickam Side, Royal Alaka’i) prior to their arrival. PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLES (POV) AND PARKING

Ample parking is available on or around the various learning site locations. Students are reminded to park in designated stalls only for both vehicles and motorcycles.
