TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT

 
NETC HRO Training and Employee Development provides program oversight and operational guidance to the NETC Domain related to civilian employee training.  We manage, develop, and implement tools and guidelines to meet organizational and operational training needs while providing assistance to Activity Training Coordinators, supervisors, and managers with training responsibilities and program requirements related to the TWMS training management tool.
 

Purpose of Training

 

• Build a solid team of professionals in all disciplines to effectively meet the mission of the Navy.
• Allow for the enhancement of individual and team performance.
• Meet all mandated requirements established for all job disciplines.
• Align requirements to NETCINST 12410.25 (in draft).

 

Types of Training

 

• Mandatory Training - Training mandated by Executive Order, Federal Statute, Regulation, or at the direction of the Secretary of the Navy
• Required Training - Training that commands assign to personnel but not mandated by higher-level policy

 

Training Priorities

 

• Priority I (Mandated/Critical) - Training mandated by Executive Order, Federal Statute, Regulation, or at the direction of the Secretary of the Navy or training that is a condition of employment (certifications/licenses) required by the position.  Annual training cycle, essential to mission accomplishment.
• Priority II (Essential) - If omitted, might impact mission accomplishment in next 2-3 fiscal years.  Training to provide for systematic replacement of skilled workers.
• Priority III (Recommended) - Enhancing the overall performance level of employees
