Lapse in Appropriations: The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025.
Military personnel will continue in normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

To request musical support from Navy Band Great Lakes, please complete either a civilian request form (DD FORM 2536) or a military request form (available below).   Completed forms may be emailed or sent via regular mail.  E-mail submissions result in the quickest turnaround time.  Note: when utilizing DD FORM 2536, please disregard the mailing and e-mail address listed on the form itself; requests should be sent directly to Navy Band Great Lakes.

Submission of your request form does not guarantee acceptance, but rather constitutes an official request for musical support. All requests are reviewed to determine whether regulations permit Navy Band support for your event. Early submission of requests is strongly encouraged.  All band engagements are subject to preemption by Commander, Naval Service Training Command.

 

**Requests for all Great Lakes area military units other than Navy Band Great Lakes must be coordinated directly between the requestor and the Naval Station Great Lakes Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Matthew Mogle.**
